Miriam's Mantle...clothed in worship

Clothed in Worship

“The greatest test of whether the holiness we profess to seek or to attain is truth and life will be whether it produces an increasing humility in us. In man, humility is the one thing needed to allow God’s holiness to dwell in him and shine through him. The chief mark of counterfeit holiness is the lack of humility. The holiest will be the humblest.”

Andrew Murray

Why do you worship; Escape, solace, refuge, revival? Scripture tells us the angels gather around His throne to worship Him. They don’t come to gain, but to give. They cry “Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord God almighty who was and is and is to come”. A true worship experience in the presence of a Holy God will not merely produce change in us,but will bring change for us. It will cause us, like the angels, to turn our focus from ourselves to the One we worship. True worship happens not merely in a “worship service” but in a service of worship. Live worship not merely love worship.

When we experience this kind of worship, then we will experience the Holiness of God,which will produce in us humility.
